Metal Fabrication Machine Operator - 1st and 2nd Shift

Description:
PURPOSE OF JOB Run crimping, bending, buffing, flaring, welding, soldering, laser welding, and laser cutting machines assigned in order to produce quality product at optimal machine efficiency. RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare workstation for operation by cleaning work area, organizing tools, and reviewing documentation. Operate machine, monitors quality to insure that product produced meets NeedleTech quality system standards. Measure parts at beginning, middle and end of run (or as necessary) and records data on router. Follow all product handling procedures; handles product with care. Monitor output during shift to insure that standard run rates are achieved. Notify group leader or supervisor of any problems with machine and/or quality of product produced. Use inspection microscope and toolmakers microscope to verify workmanship of product. Complete all associated documentation required (work travelers, output logs, etc.) per NeedleTech SOP. Communicate pass down information if pertinent to job assignment. Clean and organizes work area upon completion of shift Perform other duties as required. REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION : High School diploma, GED or equivalent (required). EXPERIENCE : 6 to 12 months’ previous experience working in a metal fabrication department working various fabrication, crimping, bending, and welding machines, or equivalent machines (required). Must be able to use various measuring devices to ensure proper tolerances on finished product POSITION SKILLS : Able to comprehend drawings and use measuring equipment as needed. Able to perform related tasks as needed by following verbal and written instructions. Ability to stand throughout an eight-hour shift. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds. Ability to read and understand product labels, policies, diagrams, safety instructions. Ability to convey detailed messages department to supervisor and other employees. Powered by JazzHR
