NURSE PRACTITIONER *We encourage Military Veterans and Military Spouses to apply" SITE OF SERVICE: Bob Stump Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center and associated clinics. Medical Mobile Services Locations: Chinle VA Clinic: 5 days a week Kayenta VA Clinic: 3 days a week Page VA Clinic: 2 days a week Polacca/Hopi Clinic: 3 days a week Tuba City VA Clinic: 2 days a week Positions Available: Primary Care Nurse Practitioner: Full-time position available for daily coverage. Mental Health Practitioner (Psychologist or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner): Full-time position available for daily coverage. POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS: Education : Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution. Completion of an NP-focused graduate master's or doctoral nursing program. Certification : NP Board Certification Cardiac Certifications : Must have the following hands-on certification through the American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) U.S. Citizenship: Shall be a U.S. citizen. English Language Requirement: Shall be able to read, write, speak and understand English well enough to effectively communicate with all patients and other health care providers. Physical Capability: Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract. DUTIES: Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and vital signs monitoring. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients Prescribe medications and provide appropriate patient education Perform procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding, and wound care Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care HOURS: TBD SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Teamwork skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
